Stroke 39 - Lamborghini Miura

This is certainly one of the most beautiful cars ever built, the first supercar in the world.

I must model this car, even to feel better the genius lines that got out of inspired hand of Marcello Gandini in the early '60s.

The first step was to find technical drawings, which are accessible on the network.

After was to model in SketchUp until I get a satisfactory result without too much detail to not weigh much.

Finally were added textures from several pictures, also from the network.

The end result is not bad, it was worth the work.

As for the Miura, I must remember that was a revolutionary car for its time, not only in terms of design as other details such as the engine, first installed in the center position, which make over 300hp and allowed him to be the fastest car at the time.

This left gnawed jealous rival Enzo Ferrari, which ended up to use in their cars the same solutions, thus making the plunge to war who had years ago. After all, Ferruccio Lamborghini also knew how to build good cars...

Here’s a photomontage as dedication to the machine and the men who made it a reality.

And here's the video that shows my SketchUp model.

And the "photo-blueprint" of the final model.
