Stroke 138 - Opel Kadett GT-B concept

With this concept I wanted to do a tribute to my old friend Opel, so I transport it to the present, with vitamin additives to the WTCC style.

Already had the idea of tuning the Kadett d with a concept by Bronze, because it was a car that influenced me, however, just now I was able to dedicate myself to the job.

I started to build the car's basic shape, and then adding the ideas I had sketched, without forgetting that meant an end result that is feasible and realistic, and not just a pointless joke.

The inspiration came mainly from various competition models of Opel, of every age, including the recently introduced Astra TCR, and some recent models linked to the WTCC. Here is a small sample:

I had to add a lot of detail and create many textures, but after transformed and applied the final textures, I quite simplified the model, as usual.

The images show at yellow the panels and details that have been added to the original template, and then the final texture on the simplified model.

Here to compare the original model with additions, and see the rotation applied to achieve lower ahead and give the appearance wedge. Also you can see that all the original body remains except the fender and the front engine cover.
