My current car is back again to the blog, after a
review, and is available for download in the SketchUp 3D warehouse.
As I mentioned in stroke 35, the previous modeling had
been done some years ago in CAD, and was the first model that applied
photographic textures with "Match Photo" in SketchUp.
The result, though satisfactory, had some mistakes and
was too heavy to use as a component in landscape environment.
This time the modulation was made directly in SkechUp,
confining itself to its basic form in order to reduce its weight to a minimum,
and the textures were applied with more knowledge.
Here are the usual images, starting with technical
drawings, from Citroen catalog:
The pictures used for texture:
The base model:
And with textures applied:
The photomontage, along with a concept from the brand,
and more importantly, with the Portugal Pavilion by Álvaro Siza Vieira.
The usual animation.
And the "photo-blueprint" of the final
model.
