Stroke 3 - Study of shadows

We know that a correct solar orientation is as important as some architectural solutions, sometimes very simple, to improve the thermal performance of buildings in a passive way.

Not always the solutions we propose are understood by customers, its direct implication in this question.

A simple animation with the path of the sun and the shadows produced throughout the day help such understanding.

In this case, it is a very simple design, but was important to demonstrate the importance of the balcony and the proposed extension of coverage to the porch.

It was important to show schematically the solar cycle in summer and winter, as well as show that the project has developed a lot in cut, due to the need to control this cycle throughout the solar interior.

Finally, SketchUp allows showing simply the solar cycle in summer and winter, and so, without further complications explaining how the proposed solution prevents overheating in summer and allowing heat gains in winter.

A small part of the final video presentation shows this.
