Even if the presentation of virtual models is the best
way to show a project to the client, for us, architects or other experts, the
best are the technical drawings.
So why not combine them both, and submit technical
drawings in a form understood by anyone, and perhaps, lead to improved reading
of technical drawings.
These cuts are made directly in SkethUp, and, at most,
may be necessary to retouch the areas that are been cut in a program of image
processing, just to save some SketchUp work.
The result is easily understood by any person, and can
show for example, how spaces are related to each other both horizontally and
vertically, or as the opens are designed for a specific purpose and not just
"to adorn the facades".
A quick note for this project, a site with banal
deployment rigidly prescribed, accompanied by a very restrict program also,
without great possibilities to the imagination wide. The only space that allowed some freedom was the back
patio, so this served as justification for opening the house in that direction.
Moreover, by slightly move the ladder of the outer
wall, has gained prominence and enriched how spaces interact.
